In the Copenhagen Zoo, it is possible to experience animals from all over the world. The Zoo is designed and divided into areas that sort of match the places from where the animals are originally from. For example, they have, and area called the arctic ring. Here it is possible to experience polar bears, pinguins, seals and other animals that naturally lives near the poles. They also have an African area, where animals like elephants, girahs, rhinos, zebras, and lions are located. That way it is more authentic when you experience the animals, in a habitat that are similar to what they would live in if they were wild. In the Asian area, the most popular animal is the two pandas. These are a gift from China, and are sometimes referred to as Panda ambassadors, since they where given as a way to strengthen Denmark and Chinas partnership.
