The café offers a variety of drinks and foods. From hot drinks like coffee or tea to beer, wine, soda, the Bastard café provides a solution for every thirsty person. You can also get various food/ snacks for less than 50 DKK. The food is also suited for vegetarians. Furthermore, and most importantly, the Bastard café is known for his wide range of board games, regardless if you know the rules to none of their games or to all of them. The friendly staff, or as they call them, the game gurus, are always happy to help you in sorting out your start difficulties.

With an inventory of over 3700 board games, Bastard café offers games for all preferences and tastes. Over 100 of these games are free to play for anyone at every time of the day. In order to get access to the whole variety of games, a sum of 25 DKK for the single day ticket is required. If you enjoy the friendly and cozy café immediately, then there is also the possibility to buy the annual membership for 150 DKK, which includes access to all games, not only for yourself, also for one guest/person that you bring with you. But do not forget, you have the opportunity to play the free games as long as you want, before you convince yourself to sign up for a membership!
Additionally, it is important to mention that you don’t need to bring anything with you, in order to spend a memorable evening in the café. You also have the possibility to reserve a table, to avoid waiting times for a table. For very enthusiastic people the Bastard café offers different sorts of merchandise, like Bastard café T-shirts or pullovers, to remind you of those memorable evenings.
The café is part of the Huset KBH, a cultural house with 5 stages with different activities and offerings, like a cinema, theatre, music venues or restaurants. It is one of Denmark’s oldest cultural houses and it is located about 2 minutes from the bus stop Stormbroen, Nationalmuseet. Additionally, you have the opportunity to take the metro to Nørreport and from there you walk for about 10 minutes.
